Our Mission
Columbia Christians
for Life shall be a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ, empowered
by the Holy Spirit, through establishing a faithful and compassionate
Christian presence at the child-killing centers, and by communicating
God's Truth that His Kingdom prevails over the sin of shedding innocent
blood.
Specific Vision
- In submission to God
and His church, seek to mobilize the church in Columbia through
the involvement of pastors, church officers, missionaries, and
other Christian leaders.
- Pray, praise, worship
and speak the Word of God at the child-killing centers
- Sidewalk counsel and
distribute literature.
- Recruit, train and
equip servants for ministry.
- Communicate to individuals,
families, churches, civil government, and other institutions and
organizations.
We Believe
- We
believe the Bible, the 66
books of the Old Testament and New Testament, to be the inspired
and inerrant Word of God, the complete revelation of His will
for the salvation of mankind, and the divine, supreme, and final
authority for all Christian faith, life, and conduct.
- We
believe and trust in only one God, Creator of all things,
eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We
believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin
birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death
on the cross through His shed blood; in His perfect and complete
sacrifice for sins once and for all times, substituting Himself,
taking the punishment for, and atoning in our place, for our sins
in accordance with Scripture; in His bodily resurrection from
the dead, in His ascension into heaven, in His present ministry
of intercession for believers, and in His believers, and in His
personal return to earth in power and glory.
- We
believe man was directly created by God in His own image,
but because of sin, was alienated from God; and alienation can
be removed only by receiving through faith alone God's gift of
salvation which was made possible by Christ's death on the cross.
- We
believe the atoning death of Jesus Christ provided the only ground
of justification and salvation for all who believe, and that only
such as submit to Jesus Christ by personal faith are born again
of the Holy Spirit.
- We
believe if a man confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and believes
in His heart that God raised Him from the dead, he shall be saved.
- We
believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- We
believe the Holy Spirit indwells those who have received
Christ, for the purpose of enabling kingdom service and empowering
God's people to lead righteous, holy, obedient lives, and to be
His witness.
- We
believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost;
they that are saved to everlasting blessing and joy with the Lord,
and they that are lost to everlasting punishment and separation
from the Lord.
- We
believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
- We
believe the Church is the Body of Christ and is comprised
of all those who trust Jesus Christ alone as Savior and Lord,
and have been spiritually regenerated and indwelt by the Holy
Spirit. The mission of the church is to make disciples of
the Lord Jesus Christ.
